St. Benedict's Monastery: Snowmass, CO.
Home to Fr. Thomas Keating, it is a Cistercian (Trappist) monastic community, part of a 900-year-old tradition. The roots of our Order reach still further back to the Rule of St. Benedict, written 1,500 years ago. A tradition strong enough to transcend time and place is important to us. Yet we view it from our own time and place and adapt it to our present lives. St. Benedict’s Monastery occupies a spectacular valley high in the Colorado Rockies. Our community of about 20 members is fairly small, and like all monasteries we have our own personality. Monasteries are like that—each one is unique. http://www.snowmass.org/
The Benedictine Sisters of Erie have remained faithful to our monastic heritage for more than 150 years. Our life is centered in community, following the Rule of St. Benedict under the guidance of the Prioress. We are vowed in the Catholic tradition promising with perpetual vows: stability, fidelity to the monastic way of life and obedience. As a community we live a common life. We gather together in our chapel three times a day to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. We share meals, social activities and gather together to offer advice and counsel to the Prioress. Many of us work together in our community ministries. http://www.eriebenedictines.org/retreats
Abbey of the Genesee:We are a community of some 33 contemplative monks living according to the Rule of St. Benedict and the Constitutions of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, more commonly known as Trappists. As such we strive to seek God and follow Christ under a rule and an abbot in a stable community that is a school of brotherly love. http://www.geneseeabbey.org//
